On Monday 1st October, the children in class 7 visited Cadbury World. They had a great time learning about the origins of chocolate, the history behind the Cadbury company and how chocolate bars are made.
The children had a lot of fun writing their names in chocolate and then eating it, of course!
In line with Macmillan’s national ‘Biggest Coffee Morning’ on Friday 28th September, we held a Cake Sale at Broughton Manor. Thank you to all the parents and children who made, donated and bought cakes! We raised a fantastic £488.15 for Maxmillan.
On Tuesday 18th September, the boys in class 10 (Year 2) visited Bedford School for an activity morning.
Their morning began with a French breakfast, consisting of fresh orange juice, fresh croissants and hot chocolate. The remainder of the morning was split between the science lab, where they investigated air pressure,, and the rugby pitch.
On Tuesday 18th September, our class 10 girls visited Bedford Girls’ School for an Activity morning.
The children were made very welcome, and took part in a selection of activities; they experimented with skittles and used technology to see inside the human body.
They we introduced to lacrosse skills and had fun on the trampoline!
On Friday 21st September, Mrs Norman and Mr Smith took a small group of class 6 and 7 boys to a Football Festival at Bedford Modern School.
The boys took part in skills training with an MK Dons coach and played a couple of short matches alongside boys from Pilgrims and Rushmoor Schools.
They had a wonderful time (despite the bitter wind!) and behaved exceptionally on their first ‘fixture’ outing.
In team building this week, the children in classes 10 and 11 (Years 5 and 6) worked together to successfully put a tent up!
On Thursday 28th June, the children in class 10 (Year 2) took part in Broughton Manor’s version of Wimbledon 2018!
On Thursday 28th June, the children in classes 3D and 3M took their first school trip to Rookery Farm. The journey on the minibus was a highlight in itself and when they arrived at the farm the children enjoyed time with the animals, soft play, picnic lunch and fun in the sun.
On Thursday 28th June, our pupils in classes 10 and 11 (Years 5 & 6) were invited to Northampton High School to enjoy their performance of the Sound of Music.
On Friday 22nd June, the children in Years 1 to 6 took part in their annual Sports Day, held at Broughton Pavilion. The children competed in distance, obstacle and relay races and we rounded off the day with parents’ races
