Our compassionate and enthusiastic children at Broughton Manor are keen to support worthy causes, both at home and abroad.

At the beginning of the autumn term, we choose a charity to support throughout the academic year. This year we are supporting Young Lives vs Cancer, formally Clic Sargent.

Our Preparatory Department Charity Committee hosts a number of fundraising events, including bake sales and school discos, emphasising the importance of ‘fun’ in fundraising.

Each year the school hosts a coffee morning to support the wonderful work of Macmillan Cancer Support, with hundreds of homemade cakes and biscuits.  We support the National Christmas Jumper Day, raising funds for Save the Children, Comic Relief, Sport Relief, Children in Need and The Poppy Appeal.

At our annual Harvest Festival, we receive a fantastic amount of food donations, which the Head Boy and Head Girl deliver to the local Food Bank.

This year, in the run-up to Christmas, we supported two charities within our local community. The NEED Project, who provide for people in poverty and financial hardship by providing food packages and at this time of year, food and gifts for children and The Salvation Army, who collect Christmas gift donations for families who would otherwise struggle. We collected an array of toys, boxes of biscuits and other foods and a total of 197 selection boxes!

Our school community takes every opportunity to give generously to those less fortunate.
