Class 6 visit to The Higgins Museum

This half term, the children in Class 6 (Year 1) have been learning about toys, past and present, different toys and games played with around the world and materials used to make toys. Yesterday, in support of their topic, the children visited The Higgins Museum in Bedford. They took part in a workshop about toys from the past; they looked at many different toys, learnt how they worked and what they were made out of and ultimately had great fun playing with them all. In addition, they explored the museum and they learnt about the different ways Bedford has changed over the years. The children were extremely well behaved and a credit to the school. A fantastic day was had by all!
